OUR PROGRAMS

Our PROGRAMS

Aid Without Borders helps people and enriches their lives. To do that, we have launched several programs, each of which contributes to our mission of providing holistic solutions and aid.

Direct Aid

According to a report by the UN Press, in 2023, 360 million people worldwide needed humanitarian assistance, and more than 260 million people faced acute food insecurity, with some at risk of famine. Unless we join hands and help them, many of these communities and people could be gone forever. To make sure it doesn’t come to that, we provide immediate relief and support to communities experiencing crises. These include but are not limited to refugees, victims of war, and vulnerable populations.

Community engagement

We help communities develop and thrive by routinely collaborating with various stakeholders and community members to devise long-term solutions to problems they are facing and ensure that communities are thriving. This helps to elevate communities and escape the loop of poverty. We understand that structural difficulties hold people back, and we aim to overcome them by working together.

Integration

AWB helps individuals, particularly refugees, integrate into their host country. These individuals are often new to a state or country and encounter challenges such as language barriers, employment issues, housing, and isolation. According to UNHCR, 52% of refugees originate from just three countries, namely Syria, Afghanistan and Ukraine. Considering the challenges of language and cultural clashes, they may need help getting back up on their feet. We help address these challenges and ensure they can improve their lives and secure their future.

Childcare

Children are in the most need of support and help. At the end of 2022, out of 108.4 million forcibly displaced people, 43.3 million of them were children. This trend is unfortunately growing and is all the more reason why we need to provide proper childcare. We provide support for parents and guardians in accessing childcare services. This enables them to pursue their employment and schooling while ensuring their children are looked after.

Employability assistance

Many people from impoverished populations and communities face an uphill challenge in obtaining jobs. This can be due to a lack of opportunity, language, and cultural differences, or other structural inequalities. We help them prepare for job interviews and offer pre-employment orientation.

Vocational training and education

AWB takes education seriously, as it provides the base for a community to thrive. We empower individuals through educational assistance and skill-building programs that teach them critical technical skills that help them obtain certifications. These technical skills also improve their employability, help them escape structural inequalities, and achieve a better quality of life. Our certification also helps them elevate themselves and secure their future.

Language enhancement

Language is one of the biggest barriers newcomers face when emigrating to new countries, especially the USA. Because of this barrier, they are often marginalized and find communicating and seeking jobs challenging. We offer English as a Second Language classes to improve communication skills, enhance employability, and foster social integration.

Monthly social events

We regularly organize social gatherings and events to create a sense of belonging for people in order to combat isolation and build supportive communities. This initiative instills a sense of attachment, which further improves the quality of assistance we can provide. It is like a snowball, and with your help, we can make it bigger.
